Liposuction

Liposuction (Liposculpture) is a predictable and safe procedure in cosmetic surgery. It is designed to remove unwanted fat from stubborn areas, such as the stomach and hips, that is difficult to shed by dieting or exercise. Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure to remove inches rather than pounds. It is by no means a weight reduction procedure. It is common that some patients may require a retouch (a repeat of the procedure on a smaller scale). This is because some areas of the fat left behind may not shrink as well as they should after the first surgery. It could take up to six months to see the final results. However, most people notice a marked difference after three months.

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

Abdominoplasty is a major cosmetic surgery procedure. The principle of this procedure is to remove a portion of the skin and fat which is over- hanging from the tummy (mini tummy tuck). When necessary, the navel may have to be transpositioned. If the muscle of the tummy is weak this may need to be tightened (full tummy tuck).

Brachioplasty (Arm Lift)

One of the characteristics of human skin is its ability to expand when put under tension. When the person puts on weight, or a woman gets pregnant, the skin stretches. It has been scientifically proven that skin cells multiply when they are under tension. When overweight people lose large amount of weight, unfortunately the skin becomes loose, more so in certain areas than others.

One of those areas where weight lose can leave a remarkably loose skin is the arms. The only way to get rid of the excess skin is by surgically removing it. The procedure is called Brachioplasty or armtuck. Unfortunately, there is no scarless surgery. The scar of this procedure is T-shaped, the arm of the “T” is along the inner side of the patient’s arm, and the top of the “T” is in the armpit. People find they can hide the scar with clothing.

Thighplasty (Thigh Lift)

Another area where weight loss can leave a remarkably loose skin is the thighs. Again, the only way to get rid of the excess skin is by surgically removing it. The procedure is called thighplasty or thightuck. Unfortunately there is also no scarless surgery for this procedure and as with the Brachioplasty the scar of this procedure is T-shaped, with the arm of the “T” is along the inner side of the patient’s thigh and the top of the “T” is in the groin. Again people who don't mind the scarring are happy to go ahead with the procedure.

Note to Patients:

The surgeon would advise you which type would be suitable for your condition. However, like any other surgery there are some unlikely problems, which you must understand and be prepared to accept. They can happen even with the best medical care. You should refrain from smoking, using any Nicotin products (Patches or chewing gum) and blood thinning medicines like Aspirin or Ibuprofen for at least 7 days before surgery. Taking chinese green tea and Vitamin-E tablets may cause bleeding.

Nose Reshape

Commonly referred to as a "nose job", this is an extremely well known cosmetic surgery procedure.  It involves reshaping the nose and its underlying cartilage to create a nose profile that better compliments the other features of the face.
